Hi, my name is Adam Tavener and I love web design, gadgets and all things 'tech'.

I’m a digital media practitioner currently based in Bournemouth. My work includes both web design and development, graphic design, Flash and Unity3D, as well as iPhone applications and mobile websites.

If you would like to contact me regarding freelance work, please feel free. You may as well commit and follow me on twitter* while your at it. * not for the weak of mind

My work is inspired by all media, digital or otherwise, with my graphic design background

lending to unique products. I love taking popular trends and moulding them into something more personal.

    ON.IN.MEDIA DESIGN

I was in charge of re-designing the On.In.Media corporate website. As the designer I created page designs/layouts and graphic assets using photoshop.

site isn't live as of yet
    IMPSPACE

A personal project, IMPspace is a growing list of members of my degree. It's aim is to collate our portfolios and projects in one place.

    launch site

It has been happening for a while now but over the past couple of years the mobile web platform has really started to gain some momentum, and more importantly a larger audience.

As the availability of smart phones increases, more & more people are surfing the web on the move. Which means your website is shrunk to fit those palm sized screens.

The experience of browsing from a phone is completely different from, say, your laptop. So why wouldn't your website change accordingly?

    GBBF IOS APPLICATION

I built a native web app for the Great British Beer Festival as part of my degree. Its designed to allow users to look through the available beers and rate them out of 10. Find out more about beer tasting. And view the 'top rated' beers as voted with the app.

I attempt to create simplified versions of a site which make the most of that tiny screen while maintaining a navigation ui that is native to the device.

Hopefully inspiring people to come back and enjoy the full desktop experience.

    cd packaging

CD packaging designed for fictional band ExL. Made with thick card for a rough finish, hidden magnet in the sleeve helps it clasp shut.

I've been busy experimenting with different technologies. All the projects attempt to emphasize a different aspect of my skill set. So go ahead and have a play!
